Adopt-a-Park service project

The second and last Adopt-a-Park service project of the year is this Saturday September 21st, meeting at 10am in-front of the main building at Utah Lake State Park and will be picking up trash for no more than one hour. It is required that all club members attend one of the two Adopt-a-Park service projects every year. Only 18 of the 61 club members came out to the spring Adopt-a-Park service project so we are expecting 43 members to turn out this Saturday. The board does realize that there are circumstances when a few members will not be able to make one of the two Adopt-a-Park service projects, in those cases the board asks that you go down to Utah Lake State Park on your own and ask what you can do to help out. If you do go down on your own make sure you talk to someone at the State Park and fill out a "Volunteer Agreement and Time Record" then notify the board. The Adopt-a-Park service projects are a great way for the club to give back to Utah Lake State Park and is also a great way for members to get to know each other better.

We are now skiing course #4 in the main entrance into Provo Bay and will be there for the rest of this year. Course #4 is plenty deep in the course but on the west end it gets shallow fast where you would normally drop so on the west end veer to the north and drop in-line with the north turn buoys and you will be in much deeper water.
